A colorful post

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sky is not as bright as it has been of late outside the patio door. Instead, it is a touch softer as the sidewalk is wet from rain so far today. It's better than snow if you ask me! Mother Nature must have been feeling generous as we did not get our usual two to three feet over spring break. Maybe the rain is her way of balancing things out.

What have we been up to this week? Serra has been playing catch-up with work she missed being sick. It sounds like she is back to her bright and shiny self which I'm glad of. She and her roommate went roller skating again and she fell on the surgically repaired knee pretty hard. Lots of ice and compression and it finally popped to release the swelling. Hoping she won't need a replacement in her thirties! She has also chosen new colors for another sweater that I will get started soon.

Amanda survived her bonkers week. Tests, presentations, regular classwork and a lab practical melted her brain by Friday. Thankfully it is the last week that looks like that according to the calendar. It should be smooth sailing from here to the end of the semester. I think the new set of Legos was a good way to unwind.

Lots of crafting happened this week. I spent a touch of time spinning, taught two classes and a lesson, started knitting a sample for Loopy, got some hexies blocked and did some kumihimo.

Six bundles down, eight to go. I probably should finish knitting the other three skeins as well.

It's getting longer!

I also splurged a couple of weeks ago on some fiber that finally arrived.

This is a color I inadvertently named Midnight Rainbows. The dyer Zephyr Creek Farms had it posted on Facebook asking for suggestions and Midnight Rainbows was mine. Well, in that case I felt I had to have some! This is my new favorite breed, Rambouillet and before you ask, no I don't know what it will become.

As for me, I'm feeling good, previously I would say still riding high at this point. Instead, this just might be the new baseline. It's hard to believe my little mini break was only a week ago. Everything feels good and free, and I rather like it. I was listening to a new mix yesterday and instead of just listening to the music I paid more attention to the lyrics of some of the songs. It's amazing what music and poetry can say in so few words.

Next week! More classwork and fun for the girls and a quick trip to see an excited Daddy for me. Hopefully the hill will be feeling generous. Breathe, glow, smile, feel, Love, evolve into new possibilities, and I'll be back next week :)
