Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It is a snowy view outside the new patio door this morning with a toasty temperature of -8*. I am glad to be inside and almost done with moving. Of course, the hard part for me still remains which is cleaning the former address. Thankfully I have plenty of time to do that. It's wild to realize that we are almost through January! The new year has been speeding by.
It has been a busy couple of weeks in our little corner of the world. We rented a U-Haul and spent a day moving the big stuff, the TV cabinet, bookcases, a bed and looms. After two loads I had two very punchy and tired daughters in need of sustenance, so we ransacked the local Huhot Grill and had far too much stir-fry. They were a massive help in getting the work done. I would say the move itself is 90% complete. Max, the exercise bike, and about half the kitchen remain.
Serra flew back to college last Sunday and has already completed a week of classes. It sounds like things are going well so far and I hope to hear more during our weekly call. Amanda flew back Thursday, and her final semester begins Tuesday. I have a feeling it is going to be a busy whirlwind and go by quicker than expected.
Crafts are at a bit of a standstill with spending time finding homes for all of my supplies. Unpacking is truly my favorite part of moving and empty boxes keep piling up. The closet space here is enormous! I also have a garage to house my outdoor show equipment. I am hoping to join the market scene again, potentially in the fall.
Classes started again at Loopy yesterday with a successful first session of Learn to Knit. I love getting to teach and don't know what has generated so much interest there. I'm simply glad of it and may spend most of my Saturdays there in the coming weeks.
As for me, I'm good. 2025 has been a wild ride so far and it's taken a firm grip to hold on as it started. I have some family things to attend to that I'm sure will continue to bubble up various emotions. Those things make me grateful for the relationships I have and work to keep having. Maybe come February life will ease up a bit and I can find some routine again.
Next week! More moving, more classes, more living. Breathe, stretch, pause, Love, embrace the moment right here, right now, and I'll be back next week :)
