Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It's everyone's favorite time of year, the time change. I believe the girls are enjoying the extra hour of sleep that it provides today. I don't mind the fall version as much as I do the spring one. I enjoy getting the extra hour. Now, tonight when it is dark outside at 5 pm? I might feel differently about that.
Sounds like it was a quiet week out east. Amanda had a small presentation and the usual dealings with her fellow classmates. We had a good talk Monday solving part of their design problem. So far, she has crushed her midterms and things are sailing smoothly.
Serra received the x-rays back on her hand that is already feeling better. She does have a hairline fracture in the top of one of the carpal bones of her wrist. Treatment is exactly what she has been doing for it, ice and compression. The swelling has gone down tremendously this week which makes me feel better about it. She also registered for the spring semester and was able to add all of the classes she wanted. Now, it is simply waiting for the schedule to be approved.
Remember last week I was going to bake? Here are my mini loaves!
My standard recipe makes two large loaves which would have been eight of these little ones. I split the recipe in half and then froze the other two loaves. They are currently in the fridge defrosting to rise and bake today.
Sweater class for Loopy finished up last week and both students enjoyed the time. One of them left with a sweater for her grandson completely finished. I am still working on Serra's version. This weekend begins another round of Learn to Knit. We should have the next round of classes finalized soon. While I was at the shop, I picked up the November Little Squirrel Yarn.
Finally Fall is here and a welcome change from orange and yellow that are most commonly used for my birthday month of November. I still don't know what I am going to do with it or any of the other bundles I've collected this year. I missed January and February because I was not going to commit to a collection. See how well that went?
This last week of October felt extremely long, and I hope that feeling does not carry into November. Although with the slow feeling of time maybe I will get more things accomplished. I do know it is time for a refocus. The snowball I kicked has had me feeling extremely unworthy and that bled into other things in negative ways. I hope to have more clarity on that situation this week. Part of my refocus is to get back to some of my yogic reading, appropriate with a friend's birthday this month. Time to get back to having a calm mind and not creating ripples that bounce back.
Next week! More of the same. Schoolwork for the girls and working on being better for me. Breathe, calm, hope, dream, Love, be mindful and steady the ship, and I'll be back next week :)
