Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Awake a bit earlier than usual today for no other reason than I woke up. The world outside is very white after yesterday's snowstorm. There's only a couple of inches on the ground, however the storm started as rain which is always fun as it freezes under the falling snow. It was a slow sloppy mess and made me very glad to only be five miles from the yarn store! There was an absolutely gorgeous Snow Full Moon Thursday morning.
What have we been up to this week? Serra and her generous spirit tried her best to tutor friends for the Calc exam. While she did well, they did not. She had three other exams this week and has two more on Monday. I believe this weekend has been spent getting a lot of rest. I shipped her finished sweater out on Saturday and hope she likes it.
Amanda also got to have a bit of R&R this weekend with going out to celebrate her roommate's birthday. Something I think she needed with the pressure she has put on herself lately. This is the first semester of ten that she's had a tough time with classes, not because they are hard, because she is not interested in them. Thinking about joining the adult world in a few months is high in her mind as well.
A week of knitting, spinning, prepping a loom for a two-day photo shoot, and teaching kept me busy. I still need to get over the previous place and get some cleanup done. I don't mind that I have till the end of the month now as it has been tough to go back.
Classes this week included beginning knitting in the round and the finish of a lace shawl class. I am getting several ideas and requests for future classes and will start working on a summer schedule soon.
As for me, it has been fairly smooth sailing. I had a bit of choppy weather early in the week with a temper that had to burn off. There is only so much I can control, and I spent a good portion of the week doing that with a lot of different things. Today officially marks one month in the new location and I am amazed at how quickly it has become home. Even Fred the Head has found a new spot to keep an eye on things.
I hope he enjoys the bunnies and geese like I do. I may even be learning how to rest and not push quite so hard. There are still things I want to learn and do, thing is they all don't have to be accomplished tomorrow. Time is a bigger factor in the grand scheme of things that you might realize. Taking just that extra bit to rest could make the whole thing turn out better.
Next week! More exams for Serra, taking it all day by day for Amanda and me getting back to the previous residence for the last of the cleanup. Breathe, pause, savor, rest, Love, expand the moment and I'll be back next week :)
