Steps

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun and I are both slow to wake up today, unless you count the fact that I woke at 330 am and rolled over to go back to sleep. Rare for me to do! The pale winter sky has brightened with the promise of spring and a sunny day. Again, a rarity considering we are halfway through December!

What did we do this week? It was a quiet and lazy one for the girls as finals at both colleges started. They have been sleeping late and studying or tutoring friends as needed. Amanda spent some time prototyping in the lab and has presentations to attend and give next week. Serra got to experience one of many traditions at Cedar Crest. This one being Midnight Breakfast where breakfast is served at midnight to celebrate the end of classes. Sounds like she ate most of the bacon. One more exam for her and then they both fly back for winter break.

My adventure this week has centered around a new location and doing a great deal of decluttering. If you follow the moon, today is the full Cold Moon since it falls in December. As it is also in Gemini this time around the focus is on decluttering and letting go, not only of material items but of previous lives as well. Seems this is exactly what I am doing as I will be in a new space for 2025. This step in my journey was planned for later next year yet everything fell into place and said do it now.

Craft time has been spent teaching with a couple of lessons this week and spinning with Lou on the Gallfrey plying pair from Green Goat Ranch. I hope to finish the skein before the end of the year. Serra's sweater is to the sleeves and also needs some time spent on it so she can take it with her after the break. Classes are up at the Loopy's website and the first Learn to Knit in January is already full! I'm so glad classes have taken off and hope they continue to grow.

I thought it would be a little weird to not be doing the usual holiday things at this time of year and truly it isn't. Life keeps becoming even more unconventional and I love it. We are going to visit Daddy and do what we want to do over the break. The best gift received anymore is time spent together.

This week! A strong finish, laundry and packing for the girls. More moving, cleaning and a trip to the airport for me. Breathe, smile, expand, feel, Love, embrace change and I'll be back next week :)
