Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I thought the time change today was supposed to bring more light in the morning. So far it is still kind of dark outside the patio door today. I'm sure the sunshine we should have will increase the lake traffic. Guess we'll see how long the sunshine lasts.
What were we up to this week? Serra finally caught up on sleep by Thursday of her spring break. She did not realize just how run down she had been for the weeks leading up to it until everyone left. The peace and quiet helped her reset quite a bit. Her roommate made it back yesterday and I'm sure the hall will be extra noisy today with others returning. She is ready to hit the ground running with three exams tomorrow. It's hard to believe she will be finished with her first year of college in only two months.
Amanda is now officially on her spring break. I believe there are still a couple of assignments that need to be completed during the week that her groupmates are going to completely bail on. At least she will be able to rest and not have to people for the week. Sometimes that is more draining than the actual work itself. She also has only two months remaining to complete her second degree in five years. In case you couldn't tell, I'm pretty proud of my girls.
A good bit of catch up for me this week as time at photo shoots always does that. I also taught a couple of lessons and finished up a learn to knit class this week. Progress is continuing on my laceweight spin and yet another skein was finished in the hexie blanket. Only three more to go! I also started the blocking process on them as I have over 150 over them complete. The kumihimo project is also coming along.
My plan is to make one long cord and then split it in half and unbraid the cut to create fringe on each end. I want it really long so again another slow project.
As for me, it was a good full week. I have a gym picked out and am looking forward to getting back to working out. Not just to lose weight but to actively work on my health. Time flies and I want to enjoy and experience every moment possible while I can for a long time. This regeneration is settling in and feeling good. It doesn't mean it will be the last one to take place. We never know what the future may hold or how our choices every day can shape the futures to come. I simply want to be ready for anything.
Next week! Back to friends and classes for Serra. A week of rest and possibly some work for Amanda. I wonder how many more Lego flowers she can find on sale. Me? As always, a little bit of everything to fill every moment. Breathe, expand, smile, Love, shape your world, and I'll be back next week :)
