Good Morning and Happy Sunday! How is it only the third Sunday of January so far? Somehow my times sense has shifted, and regular everyday time has slowed to a crawl. Not a bad thing when there are so many things I would like to do and busy months ahead. In many ways, we need the slower flow of time here! What did we do this week? Last Sunday was a lifetime ago. Amanda had a good week of classes along with receiving some even better news. She has been accepted to her preferred Master's program. Once she stopped fretting about waiting for a decision, the news showed up, go figure. She also received a scholarship that will help. Summer...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The world exists in various shades of white through the window so far today. If you think I will be opening the doors to venture out into it over the next couple of days, think again. It is extremely cold and looks to get colder. It is no wonder then that I am slow this morning, as bed was cozy. Also did not help that I slept better after the alarm went off than I did all night. I wonder if the idea of an alarm to go to sleep has ever been studied. What did we do this past week? Classes started for the girls, and it sounds like it is going to be...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! So far, the new year has started off a bit indulgent as I have stayed in bed late both days of the weekend. Serra tells me it's good because I am still getting over the bit of cold that I had with the holiday. Maybe it's me finally learning to relax. What did we do this first week of 2024? Amanda traveled back to campus in time for the RA refresher training days and before the 'massive' storm that was supposed to hit the area. I'm told she has three inches of snow so far today and that it is not a bad storm at all. In fact, she is out shopping this morning to...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The last one of the year, and the last day of the year. Outside the skies are clear with a soft pastel sunrise. No white Christmas here as the temperatures have been too warm. It makes me wonder what Spring Break is going to look like! What did we do for limbo week? We made some of our traditional food favorites for Eve and watched my two Christmas movies, Gremlins and Die Hard. Day was quiet with sharing gifts and munching on leftovers. Amanda got a much-desired haircut, and we had a dinner out for the holiday with friends. We did some shopping and ice skating on Friday. Serra's knee looks terrible from falling on it. Thankfully...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I am looking out my window at sunny skies. The two storm bomb that was supposed to collide over Colorado didn't happen just as Daddy and I knew it wouldn't. I don't think it's going to be a white Christmas this year, which is good because last year's was plenty! I'm going to keep it short and sweet today especially considering I'm late posting as is! That's what happens when we were at the airport at eleven pm to pick up Amanda. After a calmer drive back than last year and a stop for a snack, we finally tucked in at one this morning. Serra has been almost glued to her in the few hours...
