Stages of evolution

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Turning the heat off yesterday because the weather was wonderful. Thing is if you don't turn it back on, it makes for a chilly start to the day! Completely worth it for the deep sleep snuggle factor even if it means cold toes and a blanket for a shawl at the moment. It's too warm for December. Considering I have a trip to the airport on Saturday and don't want a repeat of last year's weather, I'll take it! What did we do this week? With no classes and only one final to prepare for next week, Amanda got serious with two of her favorite activities: socializing and sleep. Late nights and lazy mornings have...

Big thoughts

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I don't know if it is good or bad to have a consistent body clock that manages to wake me up just before the alarm goes off. However, just like the sun I crawled back into the covers and took my time making an appearance.  What did we do this week? It was the last week of classes for Amanda. She had a presentation for one class, an exam in finite elements, and in another her group finally got their robot to move. A paper to turn in today will finish off the class with the presentation and she is thrilled to be done with it. Originally for next semester she was going to move...

Fear

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Moving a little slow so far today. I am guessing it is due to the cooler temperatures and fresh sheets on the bed. That combination is always more snuggly. I did watch the sky lighten into the morning's pastel hues. Even though we did not get additional snow this week, the fiery skies of autumn have given way to the gentler winter hues. What did we do this week? It was back to campus and schoolwork for Amanda last Sunday. The quiet after the holiday was a welcome sound and she dove right back into her to-do list. The biggest item on it has been sent off and fingers crossed that it comes back with...

The holiday

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I am sitting by my chilly front window watching the sun shine on the wealth of snow we have. The weather decided it was time for winter to show up! Forecasters predicted three inches; we got eight. My street is snowpacked. Hopefully the main roads are clear for someone to head to school tomorrow. Guess we will see who is driving.  What did we do this week? Holidays make things a little different. Amanda had two days of classes and then headed to Long Island to spend the time off with her friend's family. Sounds like it was full of food, family, shopping and fun. They are headed back to campus today to finish out...

Cycles

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! What do I say about today? The temperature is just right outside. In fact, I turned off the heat and have the window open to feel the light, crisp breeze float over my toes. The sun is shining bright this morning and for the last few days the sky has been a brilliant shade of blue. In a way I would love to capture it for a yarn color, yet I also don't want to diminish it to something ordinary and everyday. I wasn't out of bed early enough for the sunrise today, but Tuesday's skies did not disappoint. What did we do this week? The grind of the semester is starting to pile up...
