Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun is shining bright in my little corner of the Fort even though the temperature does not agree. Colder weather is starting to set in overnight and makes you reach for that extra blanket and the snooze button. So what did we do this week? A lot of it was spent catching up with the East Coast kid. Amanda made it back to CO Saturday evening. I've gotten to hear how there's no Mexican food in NY and how college kids are simply oversized toddlers. Working across time zones has its own quirks. If you thought 8 am classes were bad in college try 6 am for Physics and Chemistry! Thankfully she's only got...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! There's a definite chill in the air today signaling that winter is on its way. Didn't get the weather the forecasters thought we would this weekend which I'm glad of but you can tell that it is turning. So! What did we do this last week? Have to admit to a bit of writer's block this morning because it was a very quiet week. Rapunzel is threaded and work has begun both on the loom and mentally for the Masks project. A lot of times with projects like this I think through it as much as I can before taking up any action. So many times when I would compete at the Grand National Wedding...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The landscape is certainly turning toward winter even with the blue skies out my window today. It's cold! I did have to laugh at Mother Nature's little temper tantrum here yesterday with winds, rain and snow falling sideways before giving way to sun. Totally understand how she felt. What happened this last week? Well first Serra's school and then the entire district made the decision to go back to being completely online through the remainder of the year. Can't say that I'm surprised. I was hoping for one more week and was planning to let Serra stay home from her two days a week once Amanda got home anyway. I love my girls but have...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Looking out the window with the blue skies and sun shining it's hard to believe that it's November. The wind swirling and the cooler temperatures are really the only indicators of the time of year. Unless of course you consider the time change. Have to admit I'm not a fan of 6pm feeling like 8! What have we been up to this last week? To say that our nation has had a tense one is an understatement. Serra can finally relax from checking her phone to watch states go from red to blue. Spinning is one of those crafts that I find soothing when I need to slow down. I spent the week plying some...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Even more quiet than usual as with last night being Halloween Serra stayed over at a friend's house. Only the second time in the last four years that I've been completely by myself. A little different but something that I'm going to have to get used as the future continues to unfold. What did we do this last week? My sense of time is very off and not just due to the time change because the snow was only last Sunday! My little corner ended up with about 10" and we had a snow day on Monday. The district says that they are going to come up with an online alternative effectively eliminating snow days...
