Circling back

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun is bright and shiny outside my window so far today but the cars are frosted up so I'm not going out to check the temperature. Forecast is calling for a bit of snow later in the week which would be a welcome change. We need the moisture as always and I wouldn't mind the cozy feeling that it creates. There's so much to say about this past week that I almost made notes last night! Serra had a big week with turning 15 and getting her braces off. Sushi dinner to celebrate was much easier to eat without having to pick rice and we've learned that about 2 1/2 rolls each is just...

Still Standing

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun is bright and shiny outside my window today. Don't know that the temperature matches as I haven't gone outside but we were in the 50's last Friday, too warm for January but not a bad day to celebrate Serra's birthday. Amanda on the other hand is in for it this next week as the Northeast is supposed to get hammered. Yes, I am still working on the project that I can't share. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with it which is good. Throwing various movies in during the day has helped and I've had on the Iron Man trilogy along with the Matrix trilogy to keep...

Quiet routine

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Weather is looking a little sad and grey out my window today in the Fort. I wonder if a storm is moving in or if the sun is simply taking a rest day. Thankfully I am not sharing the weather's colors. Bit of routine returning for the girls this week as the district is moving to phase 3 here for Serra. She'll be in person two days a week and home for the other three. I'd like to hope that it stays this way for the remainder of the year simply to get life moving again but I also know how quickly things can change. Amanda is back out at college for her semester to...

Variations on a theme

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Actually slept in some today and saw the sunrise from my bedroom rather than out my back door a couple of hours later. Snow from a few weeks ago is all gone but there is a bite to the air in my little corner of the Fort. Another week of 2021 is in the books with things looking very similar to the end of 2020. Serra is doing her best to keep herself occupied during online classes. It's tough when you already know or understand the material. She has made many bracelets while she takes care of business here in our dining room/ classroom/ band hall. Amanda has finally received move-in information and travel plans...

The darkest hour

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Little bit whiter and colder than I expected for the weekend with the snow that we got yesterday. The glitterstorm all day was just enough to cover everything. It was very peaceful to watch in between all of the NFL action. How was this past week? A bit all over the place. Serra started classes back up on Wednesday online. The district is wanting to go back to partial in-person the last week of January and full on five days a week come February. I'm not very sure of that option but I guess we will see what happens and roll with it just as we have for the past few months. Amanda is slowly...
