Rain and cooler nights have made sleep glorious. Serra is snuggled under her heavy weighted blanket and oblivious to everything as she catches up from another 48-hour hangout. What did we do this week? Amanda is attending all of the surgeries that she can and going out with the other students in the program. The Microsoft glitch affected the hospital she is at, and they got to a late start on Friday. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! We're on day three of crazy high temperatures and it looks like they are finally going to start falling tomorrow. Thankfully the lower level of the townhouse stays fairly comfortable as long as I don't open the windows. Upstairs is about fifteen degrees warmer with the windows open. Cold showers and keeping a pile of wet hair on my head helps with staying cool. What have we been up to this week? Amanda started grad school! Her first week was spent with a day of orientation, two days of classes and two days of observation in the operating room. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I could be disappointed that I didn't get rainbows earlier today. Instead, I am enjoying the cloudy skies and cooler temperatures. We've had the windows open the last few nights and absolutely love it. The forecast says next weekend will be 100*, extremely unusual for the area so we'll see if the windows stay open. What did we do this last week? A lot from what my daughters tell me, I of course don't think it was enough. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Outside my window, summer is in full swing with a bright sun already today. Of course, I love this when I awake up to rainbows in my room. Hopefully it won't get too crazy hot out there. What have we been up to this week? Lots of little things. A visit to the doctor resolved a week-long headache that was not finding any relief. We sorted out some media materials and got them sent off to resell outlets. Not much money made but I am glad of finishing an item on the to-do list and extra items being gone. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I'm a little slow this morning as sleep as taken over a great deal lately. Eight hours of sleep a night is crazy and what I have been averaging. Don't quite know how to feel about it. I keep getting told to rest so maybe it's a good thing. What did we do this week? I had my post-op appointment on Monday where the stitches got taken out and a new hard cast was placed on my leg. Traffic cone orange is fitting.
