Jazz band has started rehearsals twice a week and she had a session of extra practice to prepare to play at the Rocky Mountain Music Festival. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Been dealing with the time change this week. I don't mind the additional light shining through in the mornings but the dark at five pm is tough! The extra darkness makes me want to go to bed super early and that just wastes the day. What trouble did we cause this week? Serra had a short week with having Monday off according to the schedule and staying home Wednesday with not feeling well. Thankfully she is a great student and has no problem keeping up in class. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! So far the weather and the calendar are fighting in my little corner of the Fort as we are still having warm days and cool nights. It's also time change weekend. My biggest relief with this is that it no longer happens on Monday morning! We never knew it was coming when I was a kid. Serra is being lazy and enjoying the extra hour in bed. I don't mind it so much when getting up early gives me views like this: Granted I won't see Orion in the morning unless I get up even earlier but this isn't so bad. This past week! Or it could be from staying up late last night with baseball and the marching band championships. It's probably that I needed some extra rest and a bed with fresh sheets is extra comfy. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! So far in my little corner of the Fort it is.....dark. Yes I am up before the sun today. A normal occurrence during the week, not so much on the weekends. Sleep and I have not been the greatest of bedfellows of late so it was just easier to get up. What did we do this week? I let Serra have a extra day off this past Monday with it being a slow start to the new quarter. Thankfully for her the week was quiet and her biggest task was baking a chocolate prune cake that tastes far too good. Our excitement for the week was indulging in the theater and seeing Dune Thursday night....
